Generations of Extension Knowledge, a print by artist Bonnie Mohr, shows us a farm family out in the field observing and perhaps improving on the latest family farming techniques. A personal note from Bonnie: Generations of Extension Knowledge was a commissioned painting by the Minnesota Agriculture Extension Agents Association several years ago. It represents the next generation of farming, adapting to change and diversity, while embracing heritage and traditional values. Neighbors, friends and family posed for the roles I portrayed in this piece. They gather in between freshly cut windrows of alfalfa on a warm summer day, discussing this new variety of feed and perhaps harvesting techniques.
