Wood Art - Winter Rooster

Next to loving cows, I would have to say that roosters and sheep come in a tight second place in my heart.  This black and white bar-striped rooster plays in the wintery snow - with a typical carefree attitude that roosters have.  There is no deeply rooted meaning in this painting, but it was just that kind of painting that made me happy to paint.  The grayed backdrop setting, against the freshly fallen snow, showcases this prize rooster beautifully!  And, for some added seasonal excitement, I am offering this painting of 'WINTER ROOSTER' in a more festive version, called 'HOLIDAY ROOSTER'.  The evergreen and red berry wreath scream emotions of festive, Christmas, and party!  I hope you will enjoy one or both versions in your home or office - and perhaps if could be the perfect gift from Bonnie Mohr Studio, for someone special on your gift list this year.

They are built with 4-inch-wide pieces of wood that are stapled together, printed on, and then framed.  The ‘lines’ that the boards make when they come together and meet, create the seams and represent the natural way this product is made, and the look it has. The seams may expand and contract with the level of humidity, as the hard wood breathes. 

Printing on hard wood surface also features its own unique and distinctive look, as compared to printing on paper, as the ink absorption is different on these two surfaces. Color hues will be similar, but color intensity may vary depending on the surface it is printed.
