For myself, and most farmers, fall harvest is the most exciting time of the year on every farm! The neatly filed rows of corn in this painting, showcase what appears to be a bumper crop!  This is a reoccurring sight year after year, around September and October across the country.  After the long-awaited anticipation of the growing season, lots of prayers for adequate rainfall and good weather, it is time for the harvest.  As a child growing up on a farm, and now as a farmer’s wife, I too embrace the excitement and thrill of bringing in the crop each harvest season.  In THE HARVEST, I added a ghosted moon, and enchanting sky to add ambiance and intrigue to this oil painting!
