A personal note from Bonnie: The mountain background sets the stage for this Brown Swiss cow painting. The second cow painting in the book ONCE THERE WERE NO COWS, these girls are on a mission. Speaking from experience, never stand in the way of a moving Brown Swiss - they are strong bodied and strong willed. They are also gentle and very loving creatures, coming in a rainbow of brown tones. You can see the cow paths they make - very typical of pasture areas.
