One starry night, so long ago, in the little town of Bethlehem, the world was changed forever. Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior came into this world in a small stable filled with the warmth of gentle animals and the love of his mom and dad. On that holy night, our blessed Lord came, that we might have eternal life and salvation. History celebrates the birth of Jesus every Christmas; it is the marker of time as well as the beloved season of joy and celebration. I loved doing this oil painting, inspired by this statue of Mary riding on the donkey holding baby Jesus while Joseph leads the way as they journey to Egypt. He was, is and will be Emmanuel forever and ever – I hope you will enjoy this painting as much as I do – and to be enjoyed all year long!

All wood art images are made from real American Hard Wood. They are built with 4-inch-wide pieces of wood that are stapled together, printed on, and then framed.  The ‘lines’ that the boards make when they come together and meet, create the seams and represent the natural way this product is made, and the look it has. The seams may expand and contract with the level of humidity, as the hard wood breathes. 

Printing on hard wood surface also features its own unique and distinctive look, as compared to printing on paper, as the ink absorption is different on these two surfaces. Color hues will be similar, but color intensity may vary depending on the surface it is printed.
