A personal note from Bonnie: This 1,600 pound black and white Holstein cow is at attention and almost begging for the sprig of alfalfa that this small robin holds in her beak! They seem to have a dialog between themselves, that would go unnoticed by the average person passing by. I bring two of my favorite species together in this painting, cows and birds, surrounded in the delicate, pastel colors of spring.
