FFA Convention Highlights
In April, I had the chance to attend the State FFA Convention in St. Paul to sign prints and meet with some of the FFA (Future Farmers of America) Legacy Club members and talk about the "We Live to Share" piece I painted for the FFA Foundation. At the Monday evening banquet and assembly, canvas giclees of this painting were given to over 50 members of the Legacy Club and a framed print was presented to Paul Day's family in his honor. Paul Day was a prominent member of the Minnesota FFA Foundation who managed and supervised agricultural education programs throughout the state and he passed away in November of last year. My presence at the convention was also to assist with selling and promoting the new Legacy Club prints and program. During my high school years, being a part of the FFA Association helped me in becoming the person I am today, by teaching me that if you believe in yourself, you can accomplish what ever you set out to do. It was an honor to be able to give back to this prestigious youth organization with my art work.
