Blooming Inspiration

Spring is in full swing here at the studio with the William Baffin roses blooming, blooming and blooming! Aren't they gorgeous? The peonies are open too - bringing fresh scents into the house... heavenly. Is it really the end of May already? Unbelievably - the kids only have six days of school left, baseball is already underway, and we had our first hot-dog bonfire cookout this past weekend.  Summer is definitely coming. I've been busy painting and painting and painting!

I'm on the home stretch with the True Type Bull and Cow paintings and for the National Holstein Association and the light at the end of the tunnel is now in focus.  Deadlines are great to get things done, but this one is closing in on me.  Basically - I have 7 days to complete about 10 days of work...good luck to me : ) !  Thankfully, they have gone pretty smoothly - but a 36" x 48" canvas is not my normal playground - I definitely underestimated the amount of time these two pieces would take. The best part about my studio, is that it overlooks every angle of our farm.  From the second floor windows, I caught a glimpse of the blooming roses and was just amazed at their lush beauty.  Our spring rains have really spurred on plentiful blooming this spring.  May these photos inspire you to get out there and enjoy the season :)   Thanks for reading.....
